According to the Union Health Ministry, what was not expected, is happening. 450 people across India have been reported to be infected by the virus based on data analysis. Among the 450 citizens, 34 cases have been reported to be recovered and discharged. Death of 9 people due to the virus has also been reported.
As per the screening reports, about 15, 24, 266 people have been screened at the airport. On the other hand, the death toll all over the world has recorded to be approximately 15, 000. And for the rest, the number of people infected globally has recorded to be 3, 50, 000.
As the rapid rate of this global pandemic slowly instils fear among the population, measures are implemented. The latest death reported in Indian is a citizen of Mumbai, Maharashtra. The person is said to be 68 years old man who had recently recovered after testing positive for COVID-19. However, the person has now passed away.
Lockdown Initiated: Procedures and Guidelines To Maintain
Uddhav Thackeray, the Cheif Minister Of Maharashtra has initiated the start of lockdown. The borders have been barricaded all over the districts of Maharashtra. The first lockdown hs been implemented by the Government of Punjab.
About that, the expressway connecting Pune to Mumbai has been closed. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu has initiated section 144 through its states. It shall remain until the lockdown is over. The Head Centre has advised Citizens to come by the lockdown.
This is a drastic measure to control the spreading of Coronavirus. Citizens if found neglecting the lockdown guidance will be held with consequences. The consequences will be a punishable offence that complies with The Epidemic Diseases Act.
Meanwhile, other states like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh has
implemented the same lockdown having the same guidelines.
